is committed to the care for sick injured and orphaned wildlife with the goal of rehabilitation and release of native species. As well as to promote conservation and understanding through education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
One of the ways we help our wildlife is to give them the food they require. This fawn as well as most babies and adults have very specific requirements for their food. In fact food is our biggest expense. We are a nonprofit organization; everything we do is dependent on kind donations to help with the rescued wildlife.
WARM, DARK AND QUIET!
When you find an animal, it will be stressed from its injuries as well as being afraid because you are close. For this reason, be sure to keep it warm, dark and quiet. Try to handle it as little as possible. These little squirrel babies are only 1-2 days old. They need immediate care.
SOME ANIMALS DON'T NEED RESCUING!
Some animals leave their babies for extended times during the day or night like this bunny. This to protect the babies. These babies have no smell to attract their enemies, while the parents do. So rather than attracting predators with their smell, the parents leave the babies alone except for feeding. Be sure to call us if you find a baby which is alone. We can tell you if the baby needs rescuing or not.
